Recordings for the brand new Fawcett/Poustie album
this is it are finally complete and the
album is pending final mixing and mastering before a release in early
September. The final track listing boasts 11 tracks, 10 of which are new,
plus the previously released Hippy which was on last year's
Groovsters, Funksters & Hipsters compilation.
Recordings for the album were completed in a 3-day sitting from August 26-28, with veteran Saxophonist Richie Harvey Flood joining the final day sessions and adding his sax accompaniment to 3 songs and tin whistle to one. More news will follow just as soon as we have it, including reviews once the preview copy arrives ! One surprise is that the additional Fawcett composition, Just a Little Bit, which was not included in the final track listing released earlier. August 14, 2003 Chris Poustie is now just 24 hours away from boarding a plane from Bangkok to London Heathrow, arriving for the final leg of the this is it recording sessions which are scheduled to take place later in the month at the band's legendary "Coach House" studios ! The prospective final track listing for the album is HERE and includes 4 all new songs; Time To Start Again, Somebody Wake Me Up, Sunday Sun and the title track This Is It. Set to join F/P in the sessions is veteran jazz legend, Richie Flood, pictured below right.
