Gipsy Encampment - Accampamento Zingaresco by Sandro Maggioni The band of travellers are making a long and wearisome journey. They halt their home in an idyllic rustic glen by a verdant stream to fix a loose wagon wheel. Refreshed by the pleasant surroundings, Grandma kindles a camp fire from dried twigs and lays a clean blanket down for baby. Soon the inevitable Romany melodies start up on violin and guitar, rhythms passed down from Spain, Morrocco, Hungary and further east cause the tapping of feet and eventual passionate dancing which is enjoyed by the faithful pony, the travelling pets and the whole family.
