Madonna del Ghisallo

In the mountains above Bellagio overlooking Lake Como stands the Church of the Madonna del Ghisallo.
It is dedicated to the Patron Saint of cyclists.

From the outside it looks fairly normal,

although the statue is a bit of a clue,

but once inside you soon notice...

and memorabilia everywhere

framed shirts of famous riders

and shrines to those who have finished their last ride.

Madonna del Ghisallo is near the village of Magreglio and is on the road from Bellagio to Erba.
