Fly Fishing Passions.
There are so many still water trout fisheries to choose from, I regularly fish at Syon Park in west London. This fishery takes me just 15 minutes to reach and is stocked with Rainbows to about 17 lbs ( I can be found here on most Wednesday mornings - my day off!!). Fly Tying Many anglers get a lot (if not most) of the pleasure in fly fishing from Tying their own flies, My own view of this is if you have sufficient time on your hands to tie flies then by all means do so, I unfortunately have little time so I purchase most of my flies from commercial fly tyers over the internet. Fly tying is a hugely rewarding part of fly fishing and by all means do have a go. A Fly Fishing get-together! Quite often some of the lads get together and disappear for the day (or weekend ) and find a fishery tucked away somewhere, we occasionally have a beer or two after or sometimes go for a curry. If you have any suggestions on where to go fly fishing (preferably within 100 miles of London, but we are open minded) or fancy meeting some of the lads for a fish (or Chips!!) why don’t you E-Mail me, and perhaps we can try a fishery that you have discovered. | |||||
