Probably to show they are not worse than 3dfx, NVIDIA has built in a secret key into the Detonator 5 that enables the full-scene antialiasing (FSAA). Here is what you need to insert into you registry: To enable: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Display\0000\NVIDIA\OpenGL] "EnableFSAA"=dword:00000001 To disable: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Display\0000\NVIDIA\OpenGL] "EnableFSAA"=dword:00000000 It may happen that the currently installed driver's settings reside in a section other than '0000'. It can be '0001', '0002', or something else of that kind. You will easily find the right section, I believe. The full-scene antialiasing works only under the OpenGL but doesn't require a game (or application) to support that feature. You can see thr benchmarking results in the table below: Quake3 Demo001, GeForce 256 SDR, Athlon 650 Resolution w/o FSAA w/FSAA 800x600x16 94,1 30,7 800x600x32 68,0 19,3 1024x768x16 67,6 19,1 1024x768x32 68,0 11,3
