20th July 2001 - modifications and updates to missing and changed links.

4th July 2001 - Lucky USA, a whole Independence Day Junkyard/Scrapheap special from TLC with the first showing of the Trans-Atlantic Challenge car crusher episode. Congratulations to the Long Brothers and their expert James on a job well done. The Megalomaniacs performed fantastic but my design was not to be the one to bring the cup to the UK. BUT BEWARE .......... Some of my old buddies may well be back to kick ass ! We shall have to see.

7th June 2001 - It appears that the Russian Team in a MEGA 2-DAY BUILD World Challenge Grand Final that was detailed at this link, now no longer appears to mention the subject. Have they found the Russian team ?... is the MEGA challenge still on ? Let see what we can find out.

17th May 2001 - photo added.

6th May 2001 - minor amendments to some links.

10th April 2001, entry revised on 16th April 2001

The Scrapheap Challenge 2000 website lists that the 'Muncher' Demolition Challenge will be shown again on the UK Channel 4 television on Friday 20th April 2001, so for all those who missed the first showing .... HAVE FUN ! It does in fact appear that according to the national UK television guides this week that Channel 4 are in fact re-screening the complete series three of Scrapheap Challenge so all you teams that took part can experience 'fame again' and all you viewers get another chance to experience the action.

The filming for the NEW series of both Scrapheap Challenge (Scrapheap series 4) and Junkyard Wars (Junkyard series 2) has now started at the brand new location Stateside in L.A. During the period of the 8th - 16th April 2001 my old demolition 'Muncher' buddies the Chaos Crew flew to Los Angeles to take part in the new series. I spoke to the Crew at the end of the build day in L.A. and asked if they had any concerns regarding the machine that they had just built and the Chaos Crew reply was "No concerns, everything went well and we are just looking forward to the actual Challenge to take place tomorrow". What did they build ? How did they get on ?, well you will have to wait and see when it is shown on UK television possibly later this year 2001.

Now go and HAVE A LOOK at what is in store for the end of this new series as the Junkyard Wars production crew search for a Russian Team. It seems that the final winners of the Brits Scrapheap Challenge and the final winners of the US Junkyards Wars may take on a Russian Team in a MEGA 2-DAY BUILD World Challenge Grand Final, but first they need to find a Russian team. Watch this space.

And finally a new link has been added. A guy named Jay Lewis approached me for an interview about the Demolition challenge that I did with the Chaos Crew during 2000 and the resultant article has now been posted by him on his website. This is a interesting site that also has interviews with the hyperactive 'Buzz' of the series 1 rocket fame, also Trev Smith and Rob Pincham of the series 2 glider and mileage marathon fame. I understand that there are further interviews planned shortly. Note that I have received some reports that this site is often found to be unavailable, I can however confirm that the hyperlink on this page is correct and it is the web address that has a problem. A later attempt is usually successful.
