YESTERDAY'S  RACERS  THE  DVD  -  VOLUME  3

We are just about ready to put volume 3 into production.

Steve Holter and I are currently deciding which items will make up the new volume.

On the shortlist are : an item on 'Bab's', Parry Thomas' Land Speed Record car.  I have some home movie of the car from 1977 when it was first run at Pendine Sands after it's long re-build, so I want to use that in the item.

We want to include an item of some old 500cc cars, which would be nice.

I'm also currently chasing the owner of a McLaren M8D for us to feature, along with an historic rallying Triumph TR4.

I was recently running through some home movie footage and decided that one item that will definitely be featured is some fifteen minutes of home movie film shot at Cumberland Airport in Maryland, USA fifty years ago in 1956!

Other items that we are considering is a walk around the old Crystal Palace circuit here in London and

an interview with car owner Simon Bull and a feature on his Tyrrell P34 Formula 1 car.

LATEST  NEWS

Latest news from today, 30th January, is that I have just finished filming an interview with Brabham designer

Ron Tauranac on one of his in-frequent visits to the UK.

To say that we were lucky for Ron to have time to let us record an interview with him is quite an under statement!

Subject matters ranged from talking about the early Ralt cars in Australia, would Jochen Rindt have been

World Champion in a BT33 instead of a Lotus 72 and Ron's views on Bernie Ecclestone.

I really enjoyed being in Ron's company for a couple of hours and I hope the warmth comes across in the video.

This video should be ready probably around April-May time. Keep checking back for updates!

As usual, if you have any suggestions, or even own some old home movie footage that you think may be suitable for us to use in 'Yesterday's Racers', please feel free to e-mail me at gary@yesterdaysracers.com
