This is our third visit to this lovely cottage so you can tell how much we love it. There is so much to see and do with visits to Snowdon, Betws y Coed. Steam train form Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge well worth doing. We recommend Cross Guns opposite for a good meal, reasonable priced at two for £8.

Perfectly situated between Oswestry and Welshpool, Mount View is a beautifully renovated cottage, in the calm but not too far off the beaten track. On our arrival, it was wonderfully clean and there really was nothing to say except how perfect everything was. From past experiences, I came armed with all sorts of cleaning products, tea towels, condiments etc but everything was on hand. We literally went in and made ourselves at home. The rooms are well sized with ample room for clothes and a handy cupboard for hiding the suitcases! The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances - all of which WORK!! I think the greatest room of all is the utility room at the entrance. Boots, shoes, boxes, shopping, coats.... all of the clutter stayed nicely in there keeping the rest of the house clean and tidy. A real home from home. We always rent self catering cottages for our holidays and always come back saying "it was nice but......" Here there were no "buts" it was just PERFECT!
