Mount View cottage was built around the same time as Glen Helen cottages and shares the same location. The original Mount View cottage was a tiny 'one-up-and-one-down' dwelling. With additions over the centuries, including the current one, the cottage is now spacious and modern. Whilst the cottage has been fully renovated, the original beamed ceiling and 'out-of-plumb' walls have been kept.
