The New Adventures of the Bonsai Tree

What's all this then?

If you're a Bonsai enthusiast who has done some form of websearch on the word "bonsai" and were hoping to find some helpful information about this oriental artform, you may as well click the back button on your browser now, because that isn't what these pages are all about. "The New Adventures of the Bonsai Tree" are a series of stories that almost, but don't quite, centre around a bonsai tree that can talk. Why? Well, the best answer I think you're gonna get to that is "because". If that isn't good enough, you could try the explanation below.

It happened like this...

Some years ago, I wrote a series of stories called "The Bonsai Tales", which you may already have come across elsewhere on this website. For a number of reasons, including the fact that I wrote myself into a cliffhanger that I couldn't get out of without it getting far too complicated, I stopped writing "The Bonsai Tales" after the seventh story. Then one day I decided to write a new story. As things have changed so much since I wrote the original stories I've changed the setting and the characters around quite a bit. You won't find all the same characters here. Some characters from the old stories are not featured (most notably Mutley and Dragor), and there are a number of new characters. The style is slightly different too, but that's what happens after three years of writing more serious stuff. Oh, and one last thing. These stories are written as if "The Bonsai Tales" never happened. Well, mostly. Suffice it to say that you don't need to read "The Bonsai Tales" before you read these stories.

I welcome any feedback, good or bad, please email me if you have some. Oh yes, also email me if you have any questions. I can hardly compile a FAQ if no questions are ever asked, can I?

If you would like to be told when each new story is completed, please send an email (blank or otherwise) to bonsai@gdlone.globalnet.co.uk and you will be added to the notification list.

Enjoy...
