Bashley stormed into the third round of the Hants senior
Cup with a 5-1 win over local New Forest rivals Lymington & New Milton at
Bashley Road.
Craig Davis gave the home side the lead after 20 minutes,
before Stuart Hussey doubled Bob Higgins' team's advantage. Matt Town was
brought down inside the Bash penalty area, and Richard Glenister pulled
a goal back just before half-time
The second period produced a tight
local encounter, but with just minutes remaining, the Dr. Martens Eatern
Division outfit showed why they play in a higher league, with three goals in
four minutes. Hussey notched his second of the night, before substitute Richard
Gillespie struck twice to seal the Linnets fate.
