SAWLEY UNDER 19 INDOOR CRICKET TEAM NEWS

 

The England U-19 boys finished a commendable third place (bronze medal winners) in the recent Indoor Cricket World Cup, behind Australia and South Africa.

The Sawley Under 19 boys have recently returned to the club after representing England in the 6th Indoor World Cup, Competing Countries were Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, India,France, Wales and Guernsey.

The England boys after a shake start upped their game to make it into the semi-finals narrowly losing to South Africa but winning the 3rd and 4th play off to take the Bronze Medal!

Sawley Under 19s once again have won the Erewash Team of the Year award for 2007, and have been put forward to the Derbyshire Sports Awards at Pride Park.

The night was a fantastic success in a star studded event with Sports people from all over the County taking part from a wide and diverse range of sports, The Sawley Lads once again did the club proud winning the Derbyshire Sports Team Award for 2007.

They are now waiting to see if they get put forward to the East Midlands in November.
