The Family
Glenn and
Susan Toole - the parents, responsible for keeping order and funding Internet use (+most other things). Glenn is a Vice Principal at Pendleton Sixth Form College in Salford, Susan is Head of Biology at the Hulme Grammar School For Girls in Oldham. Together they have written a number of A-Level Biology textbooks for the publishers Letts and Stanley Thornes.David Toole - 19 years old, in the first year at university studying politics.
Andrew Toole - 17 years old, just learnt to drive.
Philip Toole - 15 years old,
Jasper and Jaffa - Two ginger cats who spend most of their lives asleep.
The House
A large stone-built house set in five acres of park-like grounds in Derbyshire, two miles outside the town of Glossop. Built in 1861 by a local mill-owning family it was severely damaged by fire in 1935 after which it was extensively renovated and divided into a number of properties. It has been home to the Toole family since March 1988.
