How do I get to the Halley Stewart Field? You can easily reach Spalding from the North, South, East or West, by either the A16, A151 or A1073. If you come from the A1, you can join the A16 at Stamford, or you could chance the Peterborough Ring Road (A1139) and come via the A15 and A16 to Market Deeping and then to Spalding. This map should be of some help. Image produced from the Ordnance Survey Get-a-map service. Image reproduced with kind permission of Ordnance Survey and Multi Media Mapping. Once in Spalding Town, nothing could be simpler! The ground is situated next to Somerfield's Supermarket on Winfrey Avenue, and also directly opposite the bus station, and the Chatterton Water Tower (which is a huge pink building, that dominates the skyline). There is a Car Park opposite as well. If you're coming by rail, there is a BR rail station in the town with regular services to and from Peterborough and Lincoln. This is probably not a good idea on mid-week matches though, as the last train is at around 8.50 pm!! The station is 250 yards from the Sir Halley Stewart Field, and you can actually see the ground from the station! What to do in Spalding? Where can I get a
