A warm welcome to all visitors to the Divefan web site. I started it in December 1999 and it has gradually grown into the current format in October 2005. Development is going on at regular intervals as time allows so please do check back now and again to see the new areas as they are added.

I have tried to balance a growing passion for scuba diving with the needs of the family, especially when it comes to holiday times. With these web pages I am gradually building up a series of information files and diving trip reports which I hope are of interest to other divers in the same position. Please feel free to contact me directly for further details on a specific area.

The most recent change has been the adoption of the domain name www.divefan.co.uk - I hope that some of the previous buddies I met through the Divefun website will drop in to share recent stories.

The section on heart surgery documents my own experience which others in the same position may find useful to them. I always answer any e-mail received on this subject to the best of my ability.

The date and time above, together with the floating shark on this page are created from java scripts. The date and time from your own computer are used to display the results shown. These scripts and many more are available free online at The JavaScript Source. See the html code for yourself by viewing the source file for this page or see my links page for more details.

I hope some of my other pursuits and pastimes will also be items of interest for the casual observer. If not, you have the rest of the web to keep you going!
