High Back Chair
The chair is made from beech or ash to give it the strength it needs for rough use. All joints are mortise & tenoned. The timber normally comes from British managed forests but is sometimes augmented with Scandinavian or American supplies.
Fire retardant materials are used in the manufacture of the seat. The seat is removable and built up on 9mm plywood base with composition foam, for rigidity, covered with calico and PVC.
