General Programming
GT Computing has many years experience of general programming, particularly
related to industrial applications. Where we need extra help we have links to companies specializing in industrial
automation, hardware design and manufacture, embedded microcomputers, packaging and other skills required in industry.
Our custom software is accompanied by fully documented source, on-line help and user manuals, as required by
the customer.

Multimedia
Multimedia is a term that can be used to describe any software product that employs images, sound and interactivity
to deliver its message. Typical applications we can deliver are as follows, from the simplest to the most difficult:
- Slide shows
- Still/video presentations
- POS/POI applications
- Educational/Training titles
- Interactive (adventure type) games
We can bring your ideas to life on Windows or on CD-i. You may already have your own audio and visual assets,
to be converted to a multimedia format, or you may prefer us to handle all of the aspects of the project:
- Project management
- Storyboarding and scriptwriting
- Graphic design
- Video digitization and processing
- Programming
- Production
Whichever parts you choose to do yourself and which you prefer to outsource, our aim is to please our customers
by bringing the highest-quality production values to the process. We generally use our own software toolkits, since
these allow us the greatest flexibility in meeting our clients' needs and enable us to deliver the best performance
achievable by the system.

Custom Languages
In some applications it is useful to design a custom high-level scripting language tailored specifically to
the project. This is particularly appropriate where the client requires to make his own changes to the operation
of the software but does not wish to 'get his hands dirty' with complex C programming. Custom languages are not
as expensive as you might imagine: GT Computing is able to create them
quite quickly, based as they are on the techniques used in GTools, our
Windows multimedia toolkit. We have created languages for systems as simple
as one using an 8-bit embedded microcontroller, enabling its functions to be reprogrammed at a high level without
requiring any C or assembler coding.
