At the AGM held on 8th June 2009 members of the Committee were appointed as follows: -
Gordon Rees was re-elected as chairman of the Barnsley Central District Scout Fellowship.
He is a founder member and in the past has been Assistanct District Commissioner (Leadership Training) and (Scout Fellowship).
He edits the District Newsletter ("Bartrade").
Janice Rees was re-elected Secretary.
Janice is a founder member of the fellowship
She has been Assistant District Commissioner for Development.
She has also held a number of positions in the Cub Scout Section.
Mrs H Almond was re-elected as Treasurer of the Barnsley Central District Scout Fellowship.
She has been an Assistant Scout Leader with
the 33rd and has been involved in Guiding and Scouting
for many years.
Gavin Doxey was elected Vice-Chairman.
He has been in scouting since the age of 6
when he was a Beaver before they were adopted and became Beaver Scouts.
He was at 12th Barnsley right through to becoming an ACSL after approx 24 years
gaining the Chief Scout's Award. He has been a member of BCDSF for 2 years up to now.
He has recently acted as Parade Marshall at St George's Day Parade.
