There was a four year gap between Honeychild and Salvation Jane, and during this time Jenny clearly matured into the complete article. This is a stunning, mature album, and opens with her best sequence of songs....the haunting Rhythm and Flow....the passionate Cry and Cry...the rhasping What do I do now....the manicured pop of In Too Deep and Walking into Walls. In too deep was later recorded...almost identically...by Belinda Carlisle. |

Varied instrumentation and great songwriting make each song a pleasure. Okay, the second half of the album is not quite so impressive, but the title track is a corker...a traditional Andrew Farriss stomper, and Digger provides, perhaps, Jenny’s finest vocal performance. Makes you desperate for the next one.....PS. I repeat my request. Were there videos from this album? Has anyone got them on videocassette? |
