The Story So Far

This is a solid, accurate best of. I assume the album centres around the hits in Australasia. The “interesting” tracks are the re-recording of Tears, the splendid old single Get Some Humour, the Janice Joplin song Piece of My Heart and the song from the INXS project Decadance with Michael Hutchence, Jackson.

And the video

It's interesting to examine the video as a whole to chart Jenny's development as a video artist. Broadly speaking, her videos fall into 3 categories:
a) Playing it "live" (Body and Soul, Tears)
b) Just Jenny and a set (You I Know, Break in the Weather)
c) On location (Lighthearted, Zero)

Apart from the very 80s Humour, where the emphasis is on “cuteness”, she starts off as a rather tomboyish figure, then gradually develops her confidence and sexuality, and the later videos are much more sophisticated, though only "Zero" courts any sort of controversiality.
On the whole, unchallenging, worthy and good fun.
