Subject: 28 Nightingale House and 97 Burr Close
Dear Renata,
I have just returned to NZ on Saturday so my apologies for not emailing you earlier. I just wanted to let you know how great I found the London accommodation. My booking and the arrival arrangements were all completed very smoothly. Both the apartments were very comfortable, well furnished and stocked everything I could want. The location for the apartments was just brilliant being so handy to public transport, restaurants, an excellent supermarket, walks along the Thames etc.
I particularly loved the 28 Nightingale House apartment with the trees outside and views over the marina - a lovely light and warm great place to come ‘home’ to after a busy day working. Can you also pass on my thanks to David - he was most helpful in answering any queries I had. I will certainly recommend the apartments to my colleagues and friends.
I hope to stay again when I return to London next year.
All the best.
Kind regards
Louise

Dear Renate,
We wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed staying at number 91. The flat has a great location and is very comfortable and well equipped. We shall be hoping to return there for another week before too long. David met us as arranged and his introduction to the flat and area was most helpful.
Thank you once again for an excellent base for a very busy and enjoyable week in London.
Best wishes

Subject: 28 Nightingale House
Dear Renata,
Since 1995, Ida and I have stayed a total of 143 nights in your apartments at St. Katharine’s, 78 of them in 28 Nightingale House. We never have had a complaint or criticism worthy of mentioning. And, that goes for our most recent stay this past May. They are always clean and well prepared for any new guests. Everything about the location is advantageous – close to accessible transportation be it Tube, Taxi, or Bus. And, the Waitrose being so close is a great plus.
New restaurants now dot the area and make for wonderful dining. The area is comfortably safe at all hours. Security patrols are frequent and the neighbors are unobtrusive. On site manager Dave is courteous, efficient, and accommodating and he’s always available should there be a need. We would recommend these apartments to anyone wanting to rent a furnished fully equipped apartment for a short or long stay.
Sincerely,
Neal & Ida W.

Renata:
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 18 Burr Close. We met David as planned and after inspecting the apartment, we asked for another fan which he later provided. The apartment was very neat and clean and I was surprised by the plasma TV, a great addition as we watched the Royal Wedding on it. We each had our own bedroom and we both enjoyed our views.
We took advantage of the local Waitrose and the numerous local restaurants - some of which I had not patronized in my previous trips. Our trip occurred during the long Easter weekend and the Royal Wedding weekend and we had a lot to see and do. The restaurants by the marina had a street party which we attended and had a great time. The weather for the entire time was great. We even took a couple of day trips out to Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswold's.
We also took advantage of the closeness of the river cruises/taxis. This area is very convenient for sightseeing and/or just relaxing. I plan to keep using your apartments in the future.

Dear Renata.
Thank you again for all your help and the upgrade to 18 Burr Close.
We had a fantastic stay - St Katherine's Dock is one of the nicest areas we've stayed in London and the apartment was great. We've passed your details on to several other people already. Many thanks again and please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like your Word form updated or an online version implemented.

Hi Renata,
thanks for a wonderful stay at 18 Burr Close. I was not only a very nice apartment, but close to the centre of London and close to my Brother and Sister in law's. So ideal for us. I was wondering when our 100 pound security deposit would be returned?
I haven't seen anything pop up in our bank account as yet. I trust everything was ok with the unit - we left it as we found it.
Kind regards,
Ross

Subject: 91 Burr Close,
Dear Renata,
We loved our stay at 91 Burr Close! It was our home-away-from-home. After leaving for a couple weeks in the middle of the month and returning for our last week in London we both felt so relaxed and as if returning home. I want to thank you for your assistance and immediate responses by e-mail from the time I first wrote to you. I felt as if I knew you well by the time we arrived and wish I could have met you in person.
We did have a delay upon arrival not being able to find our driver among the signs. He was having a very difficult day and arrived about 30 minutes later just as we were about to call David. He was very nice and very informative on the way to the apartment. He called David on the way but he had taken his wife to the hospital and said a neighbor friend would let us in (I can't remember her name but she was very nice). She gave us another phone number for him in case of an emergency. There were a few things we had to figure out trial and error but I didn't want to bother him not knowing why he was at the hospital. We could have called him but it really wasn't necessary. We met David when we returned the last week and learned about his wife's transplant and why it is necessary for her to go to the hospital. He was very nice and also gave us pizza coupons which we used that evening. 91 Burr Close was very comfortable. I chose it for the view of Tower Bridge which was amazing at night from both the living room and bedroom. The view over the marina toward the buildings of the city was also beautiful especially at night. The neighborhood is quiet even with people walking to and from around the marina area.
As I said before, the apartment felt like home to us. The living room was very relaxing and the beds very comfortable. The large closet in the bedroom was also convenient to hang our clothes. The bathroom was clean and the shower hot but it could use a plug for curlers etc and the over-sink light didn't work. The convenience of a kitchen and laundry was very appreciated since we also experienced weeks between in hotels without them! All the appliances worked in the kitchen although the pin in the dryer door kept falling off when we returned the second time, probably just a missing screw so we left a note for David.
The apartment location was exactly what I wanted. The beautiful walk around the marina to Tower Hill tube was convenient. The short walk the other direction to Waitrose was also convenient. We happened to be there for the Thames Festival and there were many activities at St Katharine's and along the Thames. It was an enjoyable experience to meet so many locals and happened to be right outside our front door. It was surprising to me with so many apartments in the area and activities going on that it was always so quiet and peaceful. Everyone we met in the elevator at our apartment complex was so nice and even though they knew we were just renters they were interested in our trip and what we had seen while visiting.
We felt very welcome. I started planning my return trip on the way home! I hope to be contacting you to stay at 91 Burr Close again. Thank you so much. It was a wonderful trip.
Debbie

Hi Renata, Sorry for the delay in responding, Thanks so much for the very enjoyable stay while we were in London. Your patience during the reservation process was wonderful, and when we arrived the apartment was lovely, well appointed and clean. David was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed the wifi and easy access to the tube, supermarket and other ammenities. The apartment was definitely well worth the money!
My only suggestion is to perhaps add some non-European visitor information about the suite to the visitor manual. It is really a very good manual, however there are some things that could use more instructions.
For example:
- Simple instructions for the washer/dryer combo. This type of machine is not something we have in North America,
and the user manual on top of the machine is written for people who are already familiar with out it works, and David explained it in the same fashion.
- Some clear instructions on how to dial out from the phone. We never did get it figured out.
- Instructions on how to use the shower/tub facets.
The separate shower supply is also not something we have in North America.
That is all. We figured out how to work everything except the phone, but others may need more instructions (in particular for the washer). All in all we very much enjoyed ourselves, and we will definitely recommend it to anyone we know who is thinking of travelling to London.
Ta!

Hello Renata
We really loved our stay at Nightingale House. It is such a fantastic location! So handy to everything and we *loved* having the balcony to view the marina................being by the water was a real pleasure. The apartment has everything so handy; Waitrose and the Dickens Inn to name a few.
The apartment itself was everything you need for a week (or two) in London. No problems with anything, but if you would like suggestions........a few hooks in the bathroom would be good. If we come back to London we will definitely try and get this apartment again.
Many thanks

Subject: Stay in London
My husband and two children enjoyed our stay at St. Katherine's Marina. We had beautiful views of the illuminated Tower Bridge out our window and we loved looking at the boats outside. Such a relaxed neighborhood, we did not feel like we were in a big city. We felt safe walking around at night too. Very convenient to Tube stop and boat rides on Thames, restaurants and especially the supermarket. We could get anywhere we wanted to within London so easily. Renata arranged for us to have a driver pick us up on the morning of our arrival at Heathrow, a service I would definitely recommend. It took all the stress out of finding the apartment upon our arrival. Booking was so easy and Renata was very responsive to all questions that I had.
We had a great time!

Dear Ms Naufal:
I must apologize for being so long in replying to your email of December 7th. After we left the apartment, we went to Portugal for 9 days, and then back home. The past two months have been extremely hectic for both of us, not least because two major projects came due last week-end. Finally, I have a few days away, with a chance to get caught up on personal affairs.
The first thing I have to say is that it was a wonderful surprise to see the way you had redecorated and furnished the apartment. It is so attractive and bright, and we loved the tile floor that you have installed. As always, you had provided everything that we needed to be and feel at home, especially the well-equipped kitchen. Elda appreciates that as she likes cooking, and one of the delights of having a place like your apartment is that we can live like the locals, going to the well-stocked Waitrose across the street to buy groceries to make meals. Unfortunately, it was too cold and wet to enjoy eating on the balcony overlooking the Inner Basin of St Katharine’s, as we have done in the past. As for the location, it would be hard to find better, in terms of the immediate neighbourhood, and proximity to public transportation.
As for Hamlet_UK, I have always found you to be most informative and helpful, and very fair and above-board in your dealings with us. In fact, we have recommended you to several of our friends who were looking for more home-like accommodation in London, and those who have stayed with you came back with no complaints. Some time we will have to visit your “little office” in Letchworth, and finally get to meet each other, or you must come and visit us, if and when you are in the City, when we are in London.
As for David, your on-site representative, he could not have been more helpful, though everything was in such order, and being our third stay with you, there was little for him to do, as it really was like coming home. We really appreciated the advice about hiring Ray Simpson for transfers between Heathrow and the apartment, because he was prompt and very courteous, and has a delightful sense of humour that made the journey go quickly. Best of all, he arranged it that Dave met us as soon as we arrived in Thomas More Street, so that we could go up to the apartment right away. In short, you have two very satisfied customers, and we will certainly be contacting you the next time we are planning to be in London, probably later next year, but not in November again! Thank you for providing a quality product and quality service.
Sincerely,
Bruce

We stayed one week in 28 Nightingale House, which is on the second floor and looks out to the trees by the marina. Especially during mid-day, there are many office workers strolling, and taking their lunch, so it is not quite as private as far as sitting out on the balcony. We stayed the second week in 91 Burr Close, which is much higher up, a corner unit, so has more windows, and is very private. The view of the marina, city, and the Tower Bridge, is very open and lovely, both in the daytime, and the lights at night. Both apartments were well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, soap, extra linens, etc. upon arrival, although for North Americans, the one unit washer and dryer take a little while to get used to. The apartments also have free Internet, although you will need a UK adapter plug if you bring a laptop.
We would highly recommend booking the airport pickup and drop off option that is available, which is entirely arranged for you upon reserving your apartment. The drivers were prompt, very courteous; and especially the entertaining commentary from our driver really helped us get our bearings in the city, as it was our first time in London.
David met us , and took us directly to our apartment. He was always available, and most helpful with any questions or anything that we needed. St. Katherine's Docks is a "quiet peaceful gem" in the middle of the city. The whole area is attractively renovated, and very clean. We never saw any "street people", rubbish, stray animals, or suspicious behavior, and the Tower Hamlet citizens patrols are very visible. We felt very safe walking around along the riverbank, over the bridge, even after dark, and took the subways entirely. Ladies, your legs will get in shape walking in high heels over the cobblestones! You really feel like you are back in the Victorian age time period. We found people to be polite, helpful, and once again, felt very safe in the entire subway (tube) and also DLR system. Definitely purchase Oyster Cards which can be topped up at any time. They are an indisputable way to save on getting about.
There is a recreational centre and gym in Wapping, and also St. Georges's 33metre swimming pool about a 10 minute walk from the marina, along a lovely quiet canal. The Waitrose supermarket across the street, and also other services, such as dry cleaners, shops, pubs, and many restaurants make St. Katherine's Docks an unbeatable location to stay. Having a "home away from home" made our visit relaxing, and worry free.
From our first email of enquiry, the responses from Renata were always prompt. Completion of paperwork can be done almost entirely on line, and is very professional, detailed, and thorough.
We hope to return some day. With happy memories from,
Audrey and Terry, Vancouver Island , Canada.

Dear Renata,
Thank you for the prompt return of our deposit which arrived this morning. We had a lovely week. Beautiful weather and the holiday was part of our 40th wedding celebrations, as we worked, met and married in London during the 1960's.
We visited lots of old haunts and had a very nostalgic week. 91 Burr Close was very comfortable and well equipped.
It was nice to be able to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy the view.
We found St Katharine's Dock a delightful and very safe environment.
With best wishes,
Paul and Jenny

Dear Renata,
So sorry for the delay in responding to your e mail. The vacation rental was lovely. It was very light, bright, welcomming and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with almost everything needed. The only things that I missed were a vegetable peeler, a salad spinner and a knife sharpener.
Aside from the initial problems with the toilet, our stay was very enjoyable.
David was exceptional, always responding to our requests/questions immediately.
We will certainly recommend your rental to friends looking for an extended stay in London.
Sincerely,
Denise and Earl F.

Hi Renata
Sorry about the delay in replying to your email. We have been busy and I have just returned from another trip. We would like to thank you very much for your service and the pleasure of staying at 58 Nightingale House on the 10th June, 2009. The accommodation was as we expected and the apartment was in great condition.
The location could not have been better. We were able to do all our touring from that central location. Your man David was a great help. He arrived as you explained and was able to advise us how? when? and where? to all our questions. He was even able to drive us to a local pub that he was going past one evening. You can't ask for more than that.
Your communications and service from your office was excellent. Your replies to my emails were always waiting for me when I next turned on my computer. I will be recommending your accommodation at St Katerine's Dock to all my friends travelling to London in the future. Once again. thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Ron and I had a fabulous time in London! We are so thankful we found your flat on Trip Advisor and In Britain magazine. The booking process was so simple. You were very responsive to my many questions, and I appreciate that very much. I was glad that most of the transaction was able to take place via e-mail - that made everything convienent. It was also wonderful that you had a 1-800 number for your overseas guests to call to complete the booking process. We were met by Ray at the airport. Even though we arrived very early Sunday morning, Ray was waiting on us and was a wonderful guide for our trip to the flat. That's a great service you arrange - having a driver. We did not have to worry about finding a cab, trying to find the flat, or trying to go by train. Ray also took us back to the airport. We had to leave at 5:30 a.m. - he was early and cheery. Really enjoyed meeting him. Once we arrived at the flat, David promptly let us in. He was extremely helpful, showing us around the building and in the flat. He showed us how everything worked. It was nice knowing that, if we needed assistance, he was on-site to help. We were not able to find the garbage chute during our stay - so I have to apologize for leaving our garbage tied in the trash bags for him.
The flat itself was perfect! It was exactly as described on your website. We truly felt like Americans living in London (even if only for a little over a week)! The size was great, everything was in perfect working condition, and the view was fabulous of the Tower Bridge. Great location - quick walk to the tube, to the Tower of London, etc. I think because the flat was so perfect, we enjoyed our vacation that much more. We actually enjoyed walking home after our excursion through the neighborhood back to St. Katharine's Dock. Having the grocery store, Waitrose, right across the street was quite a bonus. We knew exactly what to expect with the flat due to your great descriptions on the website.
We can't wait for our next trip to London and staying at your flat. We are planning to come back with my parents and will book again. I have told all my co-workers and friends about your website. Thanks again very much.

Dear Renata:
I had a lovely stay at 91 Burr Close in November 2008. I've lost track of how many times I have been a temporary tenant there, six or so I think, and it is like coming home when I arrive. With an exception, however: there is always something new to greet me! This time the flat was furnished with a new matching sofa and chair with ottoman. The chair is just perfect for my size, not too big, and I like being able to put my feet up.
Everything was in perfect order, all the appliances worked, the beds are still comfy, and it is a pleasure to have enough sheets and towels. The view is spectacular, probably one of the best in London. If I could wrest #91 away from London Hamlet Ltd and claim it for my own I would; the next best thing is to keep renting every time I come, and I will. Dave and Sheila and my friend Ginny and I went out to the Dickens Inn one evening and had a fine time telling stories, and Dave drove Ginny and me each to Paddington to catch our respective Heathrow Express trains. As usual, I can hardly wait to come back. If I didn't dislike flying so much I would book with you tomorrow!
All best wishes,
Jeanie S.

Dear Renata
Thank you for your e-mail. We had a really fabulous holiday in London. I was so sad to leave.....
despite the cold!
Of course that was outside not inside, as number 91 Burr Close was as warm as toast.
You have asked to comment on the state of the apartment on arrival. The flat was well dusted and all the cupboards, linens, crockery etc and the sinks loo and bath were all very clean.
I hope to come again next year.
Best Wishes
Pam
P.S. I wish I lived there permanently !

Hello Renata,
I've just returned to the states and finally have time to check my email account.
My friend and I were very happy with the apartment. I have to say, staying in London in such a nice homey apartment with beautiful views was the best part of my trip. It was wonderful to arrive and have someone waiting for us at the airport and drive us directly to the apartment. The driver Richard was very nice and gave us a lot of useful information on our way from the airport. When we arrived we were greeted by David who was very welcoming and a gave us a tour of the apartment.
In all we found the apartment to be perfect and I would recommend it to any friends or colleagues of mine as an affordable and comfortable alternative to a hotel. Thank you for making our stay very comfortable!

Dear Renata,
As usual, we enjoyed our stay in the apartment very much. I especially liked the new set of pots.
The view from the window and the location, being so near the Waitrose, made the apartment very likeable.
We were very pleased and hope to come back some time soon.
Best wishes and happy new year!

Dear Renata,
We very much enjoyed 58 Nightingale. It was so well equipped, had a lovely view and was warm and cozy. The apartment was quiet and convenient. We did feel like we had a little home away from home for 2 weeks. There were at least 4 buses from the area and we took advantage of all of them. We will be back again, I know. Your office was very professional, and I appreciated that very much.
Thank you so much. Until next time,

Renata,
My husband and I found the service- from the moment we arrived at the airport- to be first rate. Recent experiences in London made us a little fearful of arranging transportation, as most taxis don't bother to show up or give good service. Ray was a wonderful exception! He showed up on time and was fast and efficient.
David, who checked us in, was friendly and helpful in many ways during our stay. The apartment was clean and in good condition when we arrived, and everything worked. (unusual in London rentals!) Overall, the experience was miles above anything we've had in recent years in London, and you can be proud of the work you and your staff have done.
A most Merry Christmas to all of you,
Gail
P.S. Not to be forgotten--I was also impressed with your response to email communications, and the system you've set up for payment. The information you sent via email was everything we needed.

Renata,
Just got back from a week-long stay at 97 Burr Close, a two bedroom apartment. We were two adults and two children, ages 9 and 11. The location and convenience of this apartment would definitely have us stay there again!
As others have noted, these apartments are at St. Katharine's Docks, which were formerly working industrial docks, but have been converted to docks for pleasure boats, yachts, etc. The docks are surrounded by shops and a few restaurants. The whole area is quite lovely and peaceful, very quiet. No street noise at all. You can get from the apartment to the Tower Hill Tube station without ever getting out onto the street level by following the water around to a foot tunnel.
The 97 Burr Close apt. does not look out over the docks, but faces the opposite way with a pleasant view over the trees in the courtyard. You do get great views if you decide to take the stairs instead of the elevator. The apartment is on the 6th floor.
The beds and bedding were quite new and everyone agreed they were extremely comfortable! There are two bedrooms with two twin beds in each. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked and the dishes, pots, pans, etc. were all new. The leather couch and leather seats in the living room were brand new. The washer/dryer unit worked fine. There is a full bath upstairs and a half-bath downstairs. There is a pay phone that accepts coins (10p, 20p 50p and some other denomination), calling cards and credit cards. The broadband wifi worked without a hitch. (You'll find the instructions in a box under the phone table). We were glad to have our computer with us. There is a nice library of books on London as well as general fiction for entertainment. One tv in the living room, another in a bedroom. The kitchen opens to a small balcony overlooking the grassy, tree-filled courtyard and has a small table and chairs. The fridge, microwave, stove/oven all worked fine. We also found a drying rack for clothes in a closet which came in quite handy.
We prepared quick meals most of the time after stopping at the grocery store that is just across the street from the apartment complex. Couldn't be any easier. The garbage chute is down the walkway outside the apartment towards the elevator.
If you explore a little on foot you'll find wonderful views of the Tower Bridge just a few steps away. You might not be in the middle of all the action, but we found the location extremely convenient. We had originally wanted just a one-bedroom apartment, but they only had the two. It turned out great to have the extra space. The kids loved it... We certainly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again if we return to London. I hope you found the other set of keys.

Hi Renata,
Here is why I love staying at the Hamlet.
The location is wonderful! It is great sitting in the lounge/living room and looking out the window at Tower Bridge. In 5 minutes you can be walking on the bridge or walking past the Tower of London. St. Katherine's Dock is an oasis in a big city. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Or just hop on the tube and get to the rest of London.
The flat itself is great. For someone on a budget, it is great to have Waitrose across the street. With the kitchen you can eat as many meals as you want at the flat. It is easy to pack light with the washing machine in the flat. The flat is spacious, clean and has everything for a comfortable stay.
I always feel as though I am "living" in London and I love it. I would not get the same experience staying at a hotel. My brother has been with me for the past 3 years and he feels the same way. The booking procedure is simple and effective. A few years ago I came by myself and realized I would need a telephone. I asked Mark and he brought me one immediately and I was able to call home and let my daughter know I had arrived safely. Needless to say I always prebook one now.
This past year my brother and I asked David if we might have a couple of extra towels and he gladly brought us some. I really would like to have 2 large towels per person each year. It is nice to know that if we needed help with anything, David is just a phone call away.
In 2009 a friend is coming with me and I have requested a car to pick us up from Heathrow.
It will be easier for 2 older ladies. I have used that service once before and it was very convenient.
These are some of the reasons I love coming back year after year. I will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
Sincerely,
Judy

Renata,
Thank you for the rental. It worked out perfectly with the extra space, full kitchen and free wifi. We chatted with a fellow American tourist on the bus and he was paying 20 GBP a day for wifi access.
The area was great. The pub and restaurant Prohibition were visited often. Starbucks too since the ones in France don't serve my drink. The tunnel to the tube station provided much needed cover. And the proximity to line 15 bus was fantastic. A good cheap option to see the sights and enjoy the Christmas lights. We will be recommending this as a great option to over-priced and cramped hotels.
Thanks again.

Hello Renata,
Thanks for the email. We had a fantastic week in London, thank you.
We could not find fault with 97 Burr Close. It all worked perfectly for us. The location is just the best - so close to tube and buses, restaurants and bars, and the supermarket too. The accommodation was great, and even the bed settee was really very comfortable.
The balcony was handy for the one smoker in our family of 5. The kitchen had all sorts of pots and pans which was much appreciated. We did quite a bit of self catering. The apartment always seemed nice and warm (it was October) even though we didn't notice the heating coming on at all. I really liked the fact that there was a land line on which I could both make and receive calls. A super collection of books to browse, with lots of excellent London guides.
Although we were due to arrive at about 4pm, thanks to Gibraltar Airport being closed and our plane being several hours late, we arrived at almost 10pm. David, who was meeting us with the key, made arrangements for our untimely arrival, in the best of spirits, without a word of complaint. Later on, he was right on the end of the phone when I called him with a silly question.
We think Hamlet UK's apartment represents excellent value for money.
Many thanks,
Denise

Hello, Renata;
Just a quick note of appreciation for our accomodation at 18 Burr Close in August this past summer. We very much appreciated the apartment, and the helpfulness of David (and the man who was filling in for him the weekend we arrived, whose name I've forgotten.) It's a great location for a visit, and we enjoyed ourselves very much.Generally the apartment was well furnished and appointed. We had nearly everything we needed, (Except garbage bags. There weren't properly sized replacements.)
The bedrooms were especially charming. It was a treat one evening, while my wife and I were out walking, waiting to see a play , when we chanced upon Someset House, walked out on the river side, and realized the print over the couch in our living room was taken from a painting on that site. The print shows a governess with a baby carriage watching marching troups on Victoria Embankment. When we realized the connection, we were standing at the railing close to where the painter would have set his easel. Nice!Should be be fortunate enough to be able to plan another holiday in London, we will be in touch for a place to stay. It really was very good value.
Thank you, for everything.

Dear Renata,
I just received a packet of information I requested from the
British Heritage Magazine about the Hamlet UK apartments. I
first stayed in your apartment in 1996, and have since recommended
it to many of my friends. My family and I also stayed for a
week during Easter week 2005 and it is so nice to have a comfortable
place to stay. I love the security of the complex, and the wonderful
areas to explore. My granddaughter was so thrilled that we had a "nice home"
to live in while we did our sightseeing.
I have just sent two different couples to rent apartments from
you. One couple is renting your place in March this year, and
another couple is coming over in May. I am so happy to have
this recent information about Hamlet so I can pass it along
to people that ask me about London.
To me, St. Katharine's Marina is the best place
to be. I've spent time in many London hotels over the last 25
years, and nothing compares to your wonderful accommodations. I'm hoping to get back to the UK in the next year or so. I'll
certainly call you when I know the exact dates, and in the meantime,
I'll send my friends over.
Janet from MN, USA January 2006
Dear
Renata,
We are now back home in Australia having spent two wonderful
weeks
at St Katherine's Dock. Thank you for arranging my surprise!
How thoughtful of you! Walking in and finding a bottle of Champagne
and card was just wonderful. Thank you again! David and I sat
on the balcony, enjoyed the view and drank with lots of enjoyment.
What a find you have in Mark!
He was so welcoming and courteous
and after settling us in, assured us he was only a phone call
away. This was very self assuring. I did leave him a little
thank you note, but if you have the opportunity, will you please
thank him again? The apartment was spotlessly clean, very attractively
furnished I especially appreciated the linen on the beds and
the china in the kitchen.
My David is not usually a good traveler
and he had not stayed here before.
He loved it! Mind you, the
boats were a great attraction! He told me we'll be back! (The
reject china shop man will be very pleased).
Thank you again. take care of those beautiful children of yours!
enjoy!
They grow up so quickly.
With fond regards.
Judith
Mark,
Here is the mail that came to #9. Thank you for meeting me and
letting me in. We enjoyed our stay. This is a great location
to be while in London.
Perhaps one day we will return.

Dear Renata,
How grateful I am that you came to my rescue with an email message
for Bob concerning the loss of the VISA card. After a moment
of panic I realized we had an excellent resource available in
both Carol and you. The card was void immediately and no invalid
charges have come through. Daughter Judy and I had a great time
not only with our visit, but the apartment as well. We have
a stunning panoramic picture of the Marina taken from the balcony
and all who see it (plus other pictures of the apartment) are
duly impressed. Your smooth running organization is a real plus
for overseas travelers.Glad to see Dave waiting at Gatwick after
the long flight, and what a surprise, he is from Mundesley,
just as my next door neighbor is here in Nebraska. She couldn't
believe it, as he couldn't. 91 Burr Close was just what we were
looking for, and more.

Dear Mark,
We
have had a marvellous fortnight! The centre of it all has been
our apartment and its location here at St Katherine's. Thank
you for all you do to make everything so welcoming. I shall
write to Renata when I return home.
Thanks again!
David & Judith
Dear Renata,
Thank you and mark again for making my grandson and myself so
welcome and comfortable during our 10 days in June. Thank you
for letting us use the drying cupboard - it was a big help.
I hope to be returning again to my "home away from home".
Sincerely,
Gerry R. Drysdale (Mrs John J.)
Dear Renata,
Thank you for another delightful stay at 91 Burr Close. It has
truly become a home away from home. The new microwave and washing
machine worked beautifully, and I made good use of the sturdy
dining table in between meals, writing all my post cards and
Christmas cards. The views from the window were, of course,
superb. I am already hoping to visit in the fall of 2005. I
will let you know when I have dates in mind. Until then, heartfelt
thanks and very best wishes for 2004.
Sincerely,
Jeanie Sherwood
Good
Morning Renata,
Wendy and I have finally arrived back in NZ and I would like
to commend you for the excellent accommodation. the location
is excellent and I would certainly recommend Burr Close to any
other visitor from NZ. My initial problem was that I incorrectly
recorded the phone number for Mark and that gave me difficulties
in making direct connection with him. Apart from that we really
enjoyed our time in London.
Thanks again.
Robin
Dear Renata,
Thank you for providing such a delightful spot in London.
We all enjoyed the facilities greatly. We had plenty of room
and were very comfortable. Location was ideal and i think our
family has seen all the highlights of the town. Is there a deposit refund on our contract? I did send the first
deposit by money order - the other by Visa. Thank you once again
for such a delightful holiday and I will recommend your apartments
to other friends.
Barb Logsdail
Dear Renata,
We would both like to express our sincere gratitude for allowing
us to use our postponed vacation week at 91 Burr Close. It was
so kind of you to give us credit for the time. We had a wonderful
time and the apartment was perfect. We have now stayed in both
91 and 97 and feel very much at home there.
We hope to visit again soon.
Brian Donnell, George Fontana
Thank
you for such a delightful immaculate place to stay during our
visit here. What an incredible view! It's all been wonderful!

Dear Ms Neufal
Thank you very much for cheque received today. We had a wonderful
week in London apart from the Thursday when we visited the zoo
the weather was really nice. The apartment was very nice and
your staff very helpful indeed, we hope to take a winter break
without the children.
Yours sincerely
R. Cottam
Hi renata,
Just wanted to get back to you to say thank you so much for
our lovely stay at the Marina. We had such a great time there,
and it was so brilliant to be able to have that late check out
on the last day, It made the trip home a little easier!!!
Please pass on our many, many thanks to Mark for all his help
and assistance with the units, he was so great. Many thanks
again, hopefully we will be back again one day!

Hi Renata,
My father and I had a wonderful stay at 97 Burr Close - November
8-15.2003. This being our second stay at your appartments was
even better than the first stay. The St Katherine's Docks area
has a lot to offer whether eating out or taking an evening stroll.
I always felt safe walking at night in the area. Tower Hill
Underground is just a 10 minutes walk away or you can easily
catch a cab in front of the Thistle Tower Hotel. The nearby
Safeway supermarket caters to the apartment living crowd and
is open late most days. We are planning our next London trip
for 2004 and will contact you.
Please extend my thank you's to Mark.
All the best,
David

Dear Ms Naufal,
I booked one of your flats in March 2003 and I was highly impressed
by the surroundings but also by the flat. We enjoyed our stay
very much. Therefore I have already plans about coming back
next year. It would also be in March and my question is what
would be the latest date for booking one of your bigger flats
(four people upwards). We are still looking for a fourth person
to join us and the holidays plans have to be settled at work
as well, which will hopefully cause no problems.
Will there be any changes in your prices? If there will be,
could you please tell me how much a flat for four will cost
in March 2004 just for a week.
Best Regards
Maren Brodersen - Berlin
Dear
Renata,
We got back home last night after our London & Paris trip
and have acute jet lag today! I wanted to thank you again for
asking Carol to pick up the flowers for us - it was so nice
of you (not necessary, but very much appreciated!). We really
enjoyed the apartment, it was well equipped with dishes, glasses,
etc. and we loved having the washer & dryer.
When I mentioned
in the note I left you that we thought the walk to the Underground
(and bus) was a little far... we know it was not next door,
but we honestly didn't think it was that far. That was the only
problem we had with the apartment, otherwise the marina was
lovely (and so quiet!!!) and it was super having Safeway practically
next door (really nice shop too, I might add). I'd also like
to mention that Ray Skinner is a total delight.
He and I had
something in common as it turns out too, he used to work for
British airways and I worked for McDonnell Douglas (who sold
planes to BA). All in all we thoroughly enjoyed Ray.
The gentleman
that picked us up on the 10th was also very nice and we let
Ray know that too.
Carol is quite a character too, and definitely an asset to your
organization.... we a a couple of laughs with her on the first
day there when we got to entertain a plumber who came in to
fix the toilet shortly after we arrived. I also want to let
you know one more time how much I appreciated your efficiency
in answering my e-mail enquiry initially and all though the
process of renting the apartment for our vacations. We enjoyed
ourselves in london (as we always do) and we enjoyed the marina
as well.
Best Regards,
Lori & John Magloire
Dear Renata,
We stayed at 91 Burr Close from March 10 to March 16. What an
absolutely delightful apartment! It was spacious, immaculate,
so completely stocked, and had a spectacular view of Tower bridge
and the marina! The previous guests had even left fresh flowers!
Every aspect of our week in the apartment was just a treat!
Thank you for adding so much to our visit to London.
Christine and Rich Kerber
Dear Renata,
I
want to thank you for the discount on flat rental in January.
My friend, Ann, and I had a wonderful time and the flat was
great. Please feel free to give my name and email as a reference.
Hope you are well,
Caroline Burry
Dear Renata,
We have just arrived home after our stay in London at Burr Close.
The location is perfect. I cannot imagine staying in any other
area now. The marina is so secluded, it is like being in your
own private world away from all the hustle and bustle of london
which is available so close should you venture out! We loved
watching the swans and ducks especially the one sitting on its
nest by the Dickens Inn!
Car pick up from the airport went smoothly and even though more
expensive than we thought, I would definitely recommend it especially
for travellers coming in to Heathrow after a long flight. It
made all the difference and we got a nice tour through London
as well. The flat had everything we needed, we didn't even need
to bring over a hairdryer. The Safeway is so close that bringing
in groceries for breakfast and lunch was easy if we wanted to
eat in.
Only one thing I would suggest to make the flat even better
would be a couple of high stools/chairs at the dining room window
to enable guests to take advantage of the lovely view of the
marina!
Definitely will book with you for our next stay in london. As
a returning native Londoner I was surprised to find such good
value for money! Thank you again,
Mrs and Mr George Craig
Dear Ms. Naufal,
I wanted to thank you for making possible the wonderful
holiday we had in 58 Nightingale Court.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The flat was
very comfortable and well appointed.
Mark was very helpful and we hope to visit again next year.
Sincerely,
Angela Myatt
Dear Renata,
Sorry this is so long in coming, but I wanted to let you know
how wonderful our stay in London was and how much we enjoyed
the apartment!
It was a perfect setup for us and we could not have been more
pleased. The apartment itself was great and the amenities allowed
us to be very comfortable. After a long day of sightseeing in
and out of London, it was nice to come "home" to our
little flat. The kitchen was wonderfully outfitted (although
the controls for the microwave were abit dodgy but we managed
fine) so we were able to cook most of our meals. Doing our laundry
was a big plus also. And not being on top of each other, as
we would have been in a hotel allowed us a much better rest
at night. And the location was superb! Very safe, convenient
to the tube, close to groceries. Even internet access in a little
shop nearby. And the marina locale was a bonus.
All in all, it really enhanced our London experience. We had
been there twice before, but this was by far the best of the
lot. We would stay there again in a minute. I only hope it is
still available the next time we get there. Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Ian Drummond
Dear Renata,
Just wanted you to know how wonderful your apartment was and
how much we appreciated being able to stay there. We had a fine
visit to London and got a lot in, but would love to return to
continue the adventure someday soon. Your location is tremendous
and the apartment was most comfortable and well-equipped. The
beds were wonderful, the kitchen great and the TV delivered
the gold medal men's olympic hockey game--perfectly! We hope
it was found in tip-top shape, just as we found it.
I will definitely spread the word to travelling friends here
in New England. There is nothing better than dealing with honest,
straightforward folks. THANKS A MILLION!
Cheers,
Ellen and Scott
