| Welcome to the page dedicated to the world of COWBOY IN
AFRICA. (You may also know it under its alternative title of AFRICA:
TEXAS STYLE! Originally a film, it later became a spin-off TV series.
The only cast member to star in both versions was the vastly under-rated
actor Tom Nardini, who played the young Navajo, John Henry. We
would be lying if we didn't admit that our main focus for the series is the
aforementioned John Henry. While the part of Jim Sinclair was ably
played by Hugh O'Brien in the film, the character suffered greatly in the
series by being played by Chuck Connors. (We have no doubt that Mr
Connors was an able enough actor, but he had one heck of an act to follow in
Hugh O'Brien!)
At the moment, the page is in its fledgling stages. We wanted to
get the fiction up as quickly as possible, but as time goes on, we hope to
devote an area to an episode guide and also redress the shameful oversight
of Tom Nardini not having a web presence of his own. He was an
excellent actor who suffered from being around in a period where ethnic
actors were relegated to extremely minor roles, so he never had the chance
to shine which we think he deserved. We know he has many fans and
we're hoping that this page will serve as a focus for their appreciation.
In the meantime, we hope that you enjoy what's here and come back
again to see how it develops. As always, feedback is extremely
welcome!
