What's New!
|
|
09/04/2007
What can I say about the update this time other
than to say RL hasn't been kind to the four of us, a change in jobs
times two, illnesses and an encounter with the Judoon are our only
excuses... that's right I said the Judoon - for those who have seen
the first episode of the new series of 'Doctor Who' three guesses
where Linda works!!
Only two stories this time one of which has
been long awaited...
The first is a Dick Turpin story by Angela
whose world is but a stage, and as quoted on 'Doctor Who' this week
"57 Academics stood up and cheered".
And the second story is ... yes, you guessed
it!
Part 10 of Maggie's little epic is now
available for reading!!

29/12/ 2006 Updates on this webpage
are rather like waiting for a bus - you wait for ages just for the
sight of one and then two come along at the same time...
Lots of action on the webpage this time we've
had a little overhaul or two and added stories into almost each
section. For those that asked about Maggie's story Thicker
than Water... Part 10 is currently being rewritten before going
into editing - so anybody emailing encouragement to her would be
welcome.
Oh... and for those that noticed the
Wallpapers section has gone missing and new buttons have appeared
out of nowhere, it's just part of the upheaval
due to happen sometime in the New Year - we think!
So consider this a slightly late Halloween and
Christmas present combined.
Regards,
Carole.

Beginning of December
Did you miss us? We missed ourselves!
A combination of things, really, all to do with Real Life
interrupting our plans and computers deciding to go belly-up
before Linda had done all of her back-ups. Deep joy,
as I'm sure you'll all appreciate.
Anyway, we're back, and the process of overhauling the webpage
continues apace. This time around it's the seaQuest
page, with the others all due either a revamp or a long overdue
update. We have further plans for the new year, but we've
become a little paranoid about mentioning them out loud, just in
case the gremlins are feeling a little bored. We'll keep you
all informed as the situation changes.
We hope you enjoy the stories in
this update. Now that we're back on course, there'll be more to
come - hopefully when we actually intend to update!

08/03/06
Hi, and apologies for the long break between
updates. This is basically an update to explain that there
isn't an update... yet. I've been distracted by stuff like
exams, training and a stubborn server that keeps throwing me off the
computer, so rather than one humungous update, there will be little
ones, as I cunningly lull the computer into a false sense of
security. (I hope!) Thanks for your patience. This
time there's going to be an update to the Stargate page, with
another instalment of Maggie's phenomenal story and hopefully this
will be followed by lots of goodies. The sun has
been spotted occasionally of late, and as I'm solar powered, this is
good news for everyone!

18/12/05
The year continues to spin itself out and we find
ourselves at another Christmas, Yule or Solstice. (Or Hanukka
or Kwanzaa or any one of the other festivals that happen around this
time of year). Welcome to all who have dropped by. Once
again we have managed a small update, as opposed to the large update
we had planned. Once again, Angela has been the hard working
member of the group, coming through despite the occasional dark
muttering. I warn you all - I've promised to let up on the
nagging next year, so you'll be at my tender mercy when it comes to
updates! Of course, I haven't promised not to nag Carole....
I hope that you have a wonderful time over the
Holidays, that your loved ones remain safe and happy and that all
the right wishes come true. See you in the New Year!

31/07/2005 Hi All,
As you can see - I'm back!!
This is the first update I've attempted since
I went on my World Tour... Phileas Fogg eat your heart out - I did
it in 78 days and if you want a taste of where I went have a look at
the pictures down the side!! (If anyone wants a copy of one of
the photos just let me know.)
We have three stories this time including the
next part of Maggie's little Epic "Thicker than Water" (Word
of Warning - this is the last of the stockpile and we now have to
wait for Maggie to give us the next part!), you will also find a
story from yours truly in the Pirates of the Caribbean section!
Just a little piece of advice if you are
diabetic hold my Pirates story as far away as possible - it has been
described as sickly sweet! Noel Coward has a lot to answer for and
all blame for this story lies with Linda and Angela - ha! challenge
me will you!!
There will be another two stories in a couple
of days they just missed the deadline... methinks I need to crack
the whip more often!!
Well, don't just sit there go find those
stories and read them, but do remember that feedback even just a "I
liked that" will inspire us to write more and might even get more
updates from us.

"Cough, cough... if I
could have your attention... squawk!!"
"O'Neill, I believe it is my
turn to speak with the Tau'ri, if you will be silent I will remove
my hands from your throat..."
"Hear me people of the Tau'ri,
I Teal'c of Chulak have the honour to announce the winner of the
September competition and also the start of the October
competition."
"Teal'c, I
think you can let Jack go now... he's starting to turn blue!"
"Very well, DanielJackson...
now as I was saying before I was interrupted, the chosen calendar
was of course Hercules and Iolaus discovering the Dark Side of
Morris Dancing... we on Chulak have something similar that requires
the use of large wet thrackis leaves... and the winner of the
competition is...
ping"
*
* *
"Do you know that Special Ops
does come in useful for something occasionally, now as I was saying
before Teal'c tried to throttle me, there's not only a winner but a
runner up as well... both of whom will be notified by email after
this webpage is updated."
"Now as for the October
competition if you check out the three calendars up top, you'll
notice that yet again one of the web-mistresses cried craven and
passed the buck onto yourselves."
"All you have to do is pick
one and email this address
dragonfly1956@wildmail.com to be entered into the draw, the
closing date for this is the week before Halloween that's Saturday
23rd October... 'cause that's when Part 6 of Maggie's 'Thicker Than
Water' will be coming to a webpage near you!"
"Have to run now... literally,
I'm thinking I hear Teal'c and it sound's like he's headed in this
direction!"
"Ciao."
