BIRDWATCHING

Take a cruise from Brighton Marina up to Beachy Head passing close in to the fulmar rookeries at Seaford Head, past the Seven Sisters up to the lighthouse. This is best done on a calm day, near high water so we can sail closer in to the cliffs. This stretch of coast supports a large population of seabirds, including herring gulls, black-back gulls, kittiwake, guillimots, oystercatchers, cormerants, etc. Gannets may be spotted further offshore.

Bring your foul-weather clothing, binoculars, camera and rations! Tea and coffee available free. At certain times of the year we can catch mackeral to tempt the birds to us if you want some close-up action. Otherwise bring some titbits along for them.
