educators and truth

We expect those called to be educators and to give counsel to hold truth dearly. We anticipate that they will generally challenge falsehood, look beneath the surface, and be open to possibility. We associate truthfulness with their role. We expect them to display the ‘two basic virtues of truth’: sincerity and accuracy (Williams 2003: 11).
