Currently owned by James Adlington and Suzanne Simpson, and based at Rhu (which is on the Clyde in Scotland). Stormaway was originally a demo boat based at Troon (Scotland). She was then sold to Clyde sailing school and used as a school/charter boat for the next 10 years. Ian and Nicky Slade bought her from the sailing school in a rather run-down state (the floorboards were floating apparently!), and restored the interior and resprayed the hull. They raced and cruised Stormaway on the west coast of Scotland for many years, and finally sold Stormaway to James and Suzanne in 2000. After a year of family cruising, James got the racing bug and started entering a few races on the Clyde, initially under the local Clyde handicap system and in 2002 moving to IRC.
