Horse armour

"During the fifth Black Crusade, so me membesr of Legio Motris decked out their long-suffering horses in outfits that matched their own. A complete set of battle armour for a horse was called a bard. The metal plates and mail protected the horse's head, flanks, and back. However, horse armour was extremely expensive, and if a knight could only afford part of the armour, he bought just the shaffron, the piece for the head."
