  • Midian was release on halloween and more info will be up soon
  • Cradle Of Filth have completed the recording and mixing of their forthcoming full-length album, 'Midian.' Though the band have been through several confusing lineup shifts since the release of the previous full-length, 'Cruelty And The Beast,' the 'Midian' lineup is, according to vocalist Dani Davey, in a word, "perfect." The lineup is: Dani Davey (vocals), Robin Eaglestone (bass), Gian Piras (guitar), Paul Allender (guitar), Adrian Erlandsson (drums), and Martin Powell (keyboards). Dani and Robin have been in the band since its formation, while Gian joined for the 'Dusk And Her Embrace' album (he departed briefly last year, but has since returned full-time). Paul, having left after the band's 1994 debut, 'The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh,' makes his return with 'Midian,' while ex-At The Gates/-The Haunted drummer Adrian and ex-My Dying Bride member Martin make their debut in C.O.F. with 'Midian.' The album will include the following song selection, though not necessarily in this order: "Her Ghost In The Fog," "Saffron's Curse," "Amor E Morte," "Death Magick For Adepts," "Lord Abortion," "Tortured Soul Asylum," "At The Gates Of Midian," "Cthulhu Dawn," "Creatures That Kissed In Cold Mirrors," and "Tearing The Veil From Grace." As a Japanese bonus track, the band have recorded a Sabbat cover, "For Those Who Died," which features Dani trading vocals with original Sabbat and current Skyclad frontman Martin Walkyier!
  • Talented? Literate? Exceptionally organised? Then Cradle of Filth needs YOU. Due to a change in business circumstances, COF's fan club, The Order Of the Dragon is looking for someone to take over the day to day running of the club. In the meantime Cradle Of Filth would like to apologise to members of their Fan Club for the delay in correspondence from the organisation. They hope to have The Order Of The Dragon up and running again before they finish recording their new album. If you think you have what it takes, then write to the following address: The Order Of The Dragon, c/o One Fifteen, 28-30, Wood Wharf, Horseferry Place, London, SE10 9BT.
  • More line up changes for the band. Guitarist and songwriter Stuart Antsis has been sacked and keyboartds player Les 'Lecter' Smith has quit.
  • Further to the news that Cradle Of Filth have let go of guitarist Stuart Anstis and keyboardist Les "Lecter" Smith, both parties had this to say of the split: "[Vocalist] Dani and the band's management had been conspiring to fire me for weeks," said Anstis. "All Dani does is vandalize my songs. I've got an album's worth of stuff that I didn't want Cradle to have--it's like taking your kids to have their heads kicked in." Anstis claims that Dani broke the news to him during a band rehearsal: "We were in a room in the middle of nowhere, and Dani came in and said, 'Right, I think there's got to be a lineup change, Stuart!' I packed my stuff up and thought, 'Fuck you then, you nasty little midget. If you want to make this a Rob Zombie-style solo project, go ahead, but I'm not going to be on board.' "There's been a lot of backstabbing and lying," added Les. "We just want to shut up and get on with the music. I really believe the spirit of Cradle has gone. I thought we had a pretty steady lineup, but it seems that Dani and management want to turn it into Dani And The Filths." Responding to the allegations, Dani insisted that "I've got my reasons, and the decision wasn't just mine. It was the end of a very gruelling decision made for months, and someone had to insitigate it. It was personal, and I really didn't think anybody would have the gall to retaliate. I don't know why they can't just leave gracefully. People are trying to badmouth us now. I don't want to get involved in a slagging match. I assumed we'd parted amicably. They lacked musical direction. What else can you do when their hearts aren't in it?"
  • Drummer David Hirschheimerhas been replaced with Adrian Erlandsson who many of you have heard of from At The Gates and The Haunted.
