This colourful, festive event for all the family will be held on 31st January 1999 at the Barbican Centre at 2pm starting with Music and the Body: to raise awareness of the appeal. There will be music for everyone, Children's workshops for 3-12 year olds. Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Jackson) and James Alexandrou (Martin Fowler) from EastEnders (subject to availability) will make a guest appearance. Move from room to room, exploring how we feel sound through our bodies, using games, demonstrations, an aural obstacle course and a chord gallery. No previous musical experience required! 4:30 pm Children's Concert. Suitable for children over the age of six. For younger children, the workshops will continue during the concert, which ends at about 5:45pm. This concert features the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra and the City of Sheffield Girl's Choir. The organisation are hoping for P.A's, but as yet, the appearances have not been confirmed.
