Here is some of my more recent colour photography. (View thumbnails of images).

As you drive around a country you sometimes see intriguing footpaths leading from the side of the road. This is what you find if you pull over and take a look instead of driving on by! Our woodland path through the trees - literally. Venice looks great in any season - this is winter. A close up of a magnificent flying machine (The 'Boxkite') at an air show. I was facinated by all the controls - somewhere between Heath Robinson and H.G. Wells' time machine. Touring the abbeys of the Yorkshire Dales is a great holiday. Here the telephoto lens flattens the arches wonderfully. Goodness me - presented with a site like this you just *have* to follow the path downwards! One of the first abstract kind of photographs that I ever took - I really love the golden colours and aged stone. Again we find a man made object fighting with nature. I'm not certain that you can fail to take a nice shot of Rievaulx Abbey in the sunshine but I was pleased with my effort. A prehistoric stone structure in Wales near Nevern (which is famous for it's 'bleeding' yew tree). I've gone off this one - I like the stained glass shadows but the floor is a bit messy! The entrance to a cathedral in Germany - I'm sorry I forget exactly where - anyone know? An arch buried in stone. My digital camera rarely produces good colours, but I really like this shot, it's moody and dark. Coventry Cathedral is a fascinating blend of modern and medieval architecture. A well weathered abbey wall. I just love humans. Okay you don't want people to risk their lives climbing around dangerous places but isn't this a bit *too* harsh and scary looking? South of France - above the city of Toulon. The cover of my grandfather's coal hole. One of 'the three arrows'.
