Stuff never quite turns out as you would perhaps have liked it to. The transition to reality from ones mind's eye is difficult enough without the pressure of time.
What I'm trying to say is, well, any page here on the site has has a pretty tough time getting through to the 'net. My illness and my work mean that I've rushed through many of the pages and it shows. However, as it says on the site somewhere, no matter how bad the effort, it was an effort, and after all is worth something because of that fact.
The ratings are basically an indication of how well I think a page has turned out - ie how much it is like the 'ideal' image of that page that I had in my mind. Of course, some of the 'good bits' come by accident - a backdrop looks good etc - when this happens - well, I take the credit and rate it higher anyway!
