Gordon Brown

Constituency Dunfermline East
Party Labour
Position Chancellor of the Exchequer
Year of First Entry into Parliament 1983

So stolid, so dependable, he even drinks water instead of whisky during his Budget speeches.

But beneath this somewhat dour exterior lies a fiery Scottish heart....er, maybe. Although his well-publicised disagreements with Tony Blair have done much to damage the credibilty of the Labour party.

Nevertheless, he is one of the Cabinet Ministers that I most respect. He seems to have done a pretty good job in managing the economy, as long as he doesn't give too much away.
