sheryl crow

greatest female rock musician of our generation

now, you should by now have put two and two together and realised that yes, I am a HUGE fan of Ms Sheryl Crow.

if you are unaware of whom sheryl is, then let me refresh your memory or enlighten you.

sheryl has produced 3 albums, the first is titled 'Tuesday Night Music Club' and was released in 1993 and from which the singles 'Leaving Las Vegas', 'strong enough', 'cant cry anymore', 'run baby run' and 'all i wanna do' were released. 'all i wanna do' became a worldwide hit reaching #1 in the US charts and #2 in the UK charts. Sheryl is mostly remembered for this which is a bit unfair as although it was a great single, her talents and abilitys stretch far beyond this.

sheryl's second album was self titled (i.e. 'Sheryl Crow'). It was released in 1996 from which the singles 'a change (would do you good)', 'home', 'if it makes you happy', 'hard to make a stand' and 'everyday is a winding road' were released. most of them were well known and got quite a bit of airplay however none of them reached as high as 'all i wanna do' in the UK charts.

her third and last album to date is 'The Globe Sessions'. named after the studios in which they were recorded. three singles - 'my favourite mistake', 'there goes the neighbourhood' and 'anything but down' have been released so far in the UK. im unsure as to what singles from the album will next be released however sheryl has covered Guns 'n' Roses's track 'sweet child o'mine' for the film 'Big Daddy' which will be released in the UK in august '99.

sheryl is american as she was born in Kennet, Missouri. she has had a past of interesting facts much publisised in any articles about her. i wont sprt them again but give a few hints (michael jackson, eric clapton, depression, suicide etc).

she has many linkages with big well repected musicians such as the rolling stones and bob dylan. namely she has toured with the rolling stones as their support at their recent gigs in the UK and has been given a track named 'mississippi' by Bob Dylan to be put on 'the globe sessions'.

below is a picture of sheryl - one of my favourites - it was taken a while ago since when shes had a drastic shortening of hair - cutting of her famous locks but still looking gorgeous!!

talk about gorgeous and im queer!!!
