In late 2006 I had the pleasure of being asked to create the cover artwork for the new album by my old friends from Swansea, the jazz/blues/funk fusion band 'Satori'. Despite being called 'Elephant Vanishes' the band did not want any elephants to be incorporated into the design. From listening to the album tracks my mind kept drifting to visions of travelling by train or car and so I decided to evoke the sleepy melancholy of empty train stations and night driving. Although I did not want the finished artwork to be specific to Wales I decided to include the Severn Bridge on the back of the jewel case.
