James at work   About The Artist

Born in a cross-fire hurricane and raised by a pack of wild badgers in rural Gloucestershire, James moved to Swansea to study Fine Art at Swansea Institute of Higher Education in 1998. It was here that he was to co-found the experimental artist collective The Cult of The Artist who would collaborate until they disbanded after the 'Individuation' exhibitions in Summer 2002. Since graduating in 2001 he has exhibited many times in the Swansea area as well as around England and internationally as part of the International Miniart Exchange. In 2005 James was asked to produce the cover image for the summer edition of Swansea Platform - a local arts magazine.

As well as exhibiting and doing the usual call-centre day-job stuff James worked part time as a DJ and club promoter in Swansea's alternative scene for many years. In 2006 he relocated to Poole in Dorset with his future wife, where he has set up a studio in the back of his flat and works for Bournemouth Tourism while plotting world-domination. His interests include listening to very loud rock music, helping to stage charity DJ nights, visiting penguins in zoos, drinking real ales and reading books by Hunter S. Thompson.
