The News Of The Foz
This Is The Day, This Is The Hour, This Is This 05/03/03 21:52
Well f*ck me that month went quickly! I wouldn't mind so much if I had actually managed to acheive anything in that time but hell, I'm still young. As the more observant among you will have noticed I've finally got round to replacing my portrait at the start of the website. I'm still not sure about it so it may change again soon. I've also put up 10 new Pre-Life Crisis images under the heading of 'Personality Test'. This basically was borne out of an intensive dislike for airy fairy HR personnel who think that patronising your workforce and feeding them sweets while they sit around table and draw pretty pictures is an effective training strategy. Yeah sure, maybe if you're running for something that doesn't require much responsibility like working in Maccy D's or being president of America or something then perhaps but if the SAS had been sat drawing doodles whilst listening to some bint yapping on about last night's reality TV binge back in '82 then the Iranian Embassy would still be occupied. They would have had to have bricked it up completely and tourists would come from miles around to point and laugh. It's enough to drive someone to view pornography.
Anyway, I'm feeling in quite a peacefully inane mood today so I thought I'd give you an unique insight into what sort of thing I listen to while working on the images. Generally it's a mixture on constant shuffled repeat comprising Pop will Eat itself, Atari Teenage Riot, The Damned, Hardknox and er... ACDC with a dash of Fuzzbox (remember them?) thrown in but there are some albums that leave such an impact upon you over the years that they sometimes come to the surface and etch their blood-soaked angst onto the very canvas at the other end of your brush. As far as this project goes, these are they. Or, if you like, 'Pre-Life Crisis The Official Soundtrack'. I don't care how you do it but get hold of these albums because they're exceedingly good.
At the time of writing I have been without sleep for exactly twenty-nine hours.
