My Teeth Hurt - It Must Be 2004! 01/01/04 22:56

It's the first day of the new year and now that most of the ten or so hungover guests have left after a whapping huge fry-up and the remaining ones are engrossed in LOTR on the Playstation now seems as good a time as ever to go over my accounts for this tax year - rock & roll or what? It always seems like a mundane chore you put off for months and months but once you get into it it's really quite fascinating. You start seeing your life in numbers a bit like that bit in The Matrix when Keanu comes back from the dead to open a can of whup-ass on Agent Smith and also become compelled by the mysteries of 'What happened to sheet 2 of my bank statement from June?' or the more pressing 'How did I manage to lose over £200 worth of HMV receipts over a period of six months!?' If I'm gonna get a new club night started then I've got to make sure I've got all my shit together first...

From looking at my gross income from DJing since April I can confirm that the second half of 2003 did in fact rock a fat one as far as my DJing activities are concerned. I'm now a quarter of the way to not having to have a day job ever again so my afternoons can be spent painting or stencilling or sitting drinking coffee watching my PC take 10 minutes to apply the 'cutout' filter. Maybe that's why they call it filter coffee. To celebrate my ascent towards the world of champagne, cocaine and supermodels (actually scrub those last two and replace them with more champagne) I've created a section of the site dedicated to my services as a DJ. It's a bit basic but you get the general gist.

Artwork-wise, I know I always say this but Pre-Life Crisis is painfully close to completion. As far as the images go I need to create another 17 images and also find a way to have them printed onto slide (the girl in Jessops drew a complete blank). The project has taken an interesting turn as well in that Stu Ross from Satori has taken an interest in writing a musical score for the presentation, which will be pretty cool I think.
