The News Of The Foz
The Wilderness Pt. 2: Moving On Up 30/06/05 18:00 There's been a shocking amount of productivity from me since the last update. Sure I'm not quite back in the swing of things yet and I didn't manage to do the large banner version of 'Teenage Dreams...' that I wanted to take to Glastonbury with me but so far this last 1 1/2 months has seen my first ever magazine cover (Swansea Platform, summer '05 edition), some album artwork for Swansea noise-makers Goujons and I even sold a copy of the Shelley Painting. Meanwhile in my own day job I've designed the mascots for my department's bid for best department in the whole company, which has resulted in many hours off the phone trying to make a sort of cross between Jessica Rabbit, Audrey Hepburn and er... a carrot. Regular visitors to this website (this means you Dad!) may have noticed it's been a while since I updated this page so you're probably thinking I'm phenomenally lazy. Whilst this is probably true I did actually have genuine computer problems which stopped me from connecting to any of my ftp servers and I've only just got it sorted. If there's a lack of information on here you can keep up to date with my exploits on Livejournal and occasionally Myspace, if you're really really sad. Other things worthy of mention: I've fallen in love again but hopefully it'll work out this time - despite having crap taste in men she doesn't appear to be too much of a nutter. Congratulations are due to my brother Pete for getting a 2:1 from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama for stage management, even if he does smell. I'm trying to work out what to do with my life as per usual but have hit a crossroads. Do I enroll on the masters course and have great fun for a couple of years doing cool stuff but ultimately in an artifical academic environment in a graveyard of ambition or do I throw caution to the wind, blow my money I've saved up for the masters on a new computer and try and apply for a cool design-related job in London? Obviously with the latter it'll be much harder but at the same time it means I could potentially learn much more whilst getting paid for it. Difficult decisions are on the horizon...
