Slow Moves 29/010/06 17:42
It suddenly occurred to me this afternoon as I was killing time while Lori made jam that I haven't updated the news page in a while. I think this is partly because I already have 2 blogs on the go for my most inane news but also because news has been slow on the art front since my last post. My agent in Swansea Brucie B has apparently been pimping my work in the establishment known as Monkey and the Belfast office of The Cult of The Artist has been busy arranging the 4th Miniart show, which is now taking place in Belfast after funding problems caused the Singapore show to be postponed until further notice. The show is due to open on the 5th March 2007 in The Waterfront Hall, Belfast and will feature the work from the 3rd Miniart in Canada as well as new works specifically invited for the Belfast exhibition.

Meanwhile, the more observant ones amongst you (i.e. my Dad) will have noticed that I have got rid of the DJ section on the web-site. It made sense to have it when I was running club nights regularly but now that it's been nearly 2 years since I knocked it on the head it seems a bit sad to still have it gathering dust. Those of you who really, really absolutely must still be able to view it can do so here. In other developments; Work from this website and www.prelifecrisis.com can now be viewed online on the Saatchi Gallery and Eclectic Fusion websites. I finally managed to make a banner version of the John Peel tribute (see photo on the left), which went down well at the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland. The highlight of my weekend was Mogwai dedicating a song to 'the guy who made the John Peel banner' so all in all I'm pretty chuffed! The banner will be appearing at next year's Glastonbury festival regardless of whether I get a ticket or not so keep an eye out for it. I've also been making digital portraits of my Myspace friends for a bit of fun and am determined to update the Cult of The Artist website before the 6th anniversary of Metamorphosis, even if it kills me. I have also been offered a permanent position within Bournemouth Tourism, where I have been temping over the summer so this should help make things a bit more stable so I can focus on my long-term plans for world-domination. |
