New painting of the Myspace portrait of 'Milkbubble' Beccy in the studio, Feb. '07. It's almost finished...
Not a lot of art news really since my last entry. The 4th International Miniart Exchange Exhibition is still on course to open to the public on March 5th in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast. There's still room for a few more artists so if you're up for it and can get your work, entry form and fees in by the end of February then click here to download the form (.doc file).
I've added a new portrait to the Myspace Friends project, which I'll admit I've been particularly slack on recently. The new one is of the inordinately beautiful Milkbubble and I was so chuffed with the digital version that I decided to produce a version in acrylics and black-board paint (see above). The result is pretty awesome and the blackboard paint seems to have got rid of the problem I often find with black acrylics being a bit lame and brown-tinted.
In the 1980s a famous philosopher once decreed that 'Greed is good' so I have decided to experiment with the murky world of online auction sites. The 'Small Blue Shelley Painting' is currently up for grabs on Ebay so if you're quick you might be able to grab it for much less than I normally advertise it for and get a free postcard of 'Pauses' to boot. You can bid for it by clicking here.
Last, but not very least is the very happy news that Lori & I are engaged to be married. We've not set a date yet but we're aiming for summer 2009-ish. How much does that rock?
