MONACO 1967

After leading most of the race and then running second behind Denny Hulme's Brabham, Lorenzo Bandini clipped the barrier at the chicane, and flipped over. The car instantly caught fire, and Lorenzo was terribly burned while the inadequately equipped marshalls extracated him. He sadly died four days later.

MONZA 1967

The '67 Italian Grand Prix proved to be the high point of an exciting season! Dan Gurney led until his engine failed. Jim Clark then took over, but suffered a puncture which cost him an entire lap. In an amazing drive, Clark then passed the field TWICE to re-take the lead, only to run out of fuel on the last lap! Brabham and Surtees then raced wheel-to-wheel out of the Parabolica, with Surtees winning by mere inches! It was Honda's first European GP victory.

NURBURGRING 1967

Two wins were enough to see Denny Hulme take the 1967 World Championship - one of those wins was at the Ring. Clark and Hill both suffered suspension faliure, while Dan Gurney's Eagle blew it's engine. This allowed Hulme and Brabham to score a one-two. Hulme returned to racing for fun, in the 90's. He died of a heart-attack while driving in the famous Australian Bathurst touring car race.
