An ominous call warned Houston McIver to stay clear of the Macgruder case, but when shapely Geneva Macgruder came to McIver's office she brought some pretty powerful persuaders: a big bundle of cash and her big blue eyes. Clinching the deal in McIver's estimation was the bullet that came barreling through his office window. That enraged him enough to tie him in solid.
