(Feb 01) A promising return against Stockport. Les is very important to our current tactics and we could do with him staying fit until the
end of the season be that Man United in May or the end of the cup run.
(Jan  01) After a couple of goals in November (& of course the games out with injury in between) and a contract coming up, Ferdinand's
agent is mixing it tying to get a new contract with talk of leaving the "club he supported as a boy". Fat Les owes us and its payback time
(Dec 00) Another game another head injury and Les is out again
(Nov 00) While Les is still a shadow of the great forward he was when he was younger, he has managed a few goals in recent matches
(notably the hat-trick against Leicester) and is now our top scorer. Easily his best month in his three years at the club
(Oct 00) Unfortunately for Les, his recent performances have left the distinct impression that he has lost it at the top level, a decline
hastened by the removal of the wide attacking options that has characterised his success elsewhere.
(Sept 00)Injury prone who still averages around £500,000 and three months per goal since his arrival from Newcastle for a then record fee
of £6m. Its hard not to like Les and although his best years are behind him he reminded everyone of his power in the air with a fine goal
against Ispwich. He will be a useful backup to Iversen and Rebrov.
