(Feb 01) Has filled in at left wing back with some success at the start of the month and heopfully will get a chance to cement a place in
first team that other young players such as King and Doherty have
(Dec 00) Further disaster for Young, with Carr injured at the end of the month, he could have had a crack at his favoured Right back
position. Lets hope this is the last of the injury nightmares before his career blossoms
(Nov 00) Unfortunately for Luke (again)! After getting back in the team and having a man of the match display against Liverpool, Injury
has again halted Young's progress as he will be out until Christmas with a broken foot.
(Oct 00) Unfortunately for Luke, when Campbell's injury presented an opportunity for a decent run in the first team, Luke has been
sidelined with a foot injury sustained in the West Ham match.
(Sept 00)Always impressed in both attitude and skills in his first team appearances since his surprise debut at Upton Park in Dec 1998
and a regular in the England U-21 team. May be starved of opportunities in the first team while Sol and Perry are the centre halfs but I
think a try as a defensive midfielder would be worthwhile.
