(Feb 01) Got over the Gooner induced Birmingham nightmare by rubbing Graham's nose in it when scoring two in the 4-0 cup win over
Stockport. Graham of course was quick to take the credit (although he could not remember Davies's position or what he looks like), and
all credit must go down to the combined efforts of Hughton and Pleat. Davies should get a good run in the team with Leo's six week
absence and lets hope he continues to impress and makes that midfield position his own. Looked very shy on the MOTD interview
(Nov 00) Given 40 minutes in the Birmingham game before being removed at half time which will have done nothing for his confidence.
The emergence of Ledley King in central midfield will have done nothing for his chances of first team football
(Sept 00)Signed alongside Etherington from Peterborough, 20 year old Davies is already a full Wales International. He also showed
signs of ability in a few brief appearances towards the end of last season and may get an earlier opportunity for first team action in the
centre of midfield this season when the aging pair of Freund and Sherwood are either injured or suspended.
