Latitude 2008 - July 17th - 21st

Thursday - 17th
10:30 - set off - only 4 roads
13:30 - arrive / unsual car park in lines - but no this is just a waiting area for the car park - repack the car - a 2cv now looks abandoned as it's occupants have already left for the queue - park up proper, unpack and join one of the 2 overlapping queues - apparently there are safety issues so they are not letting anyone in for 20 minutes
14:40 - 40 minutes later - eventually in - make camp in the red campsite by the 'statue'
14:50 - alas there's a downpour as we are erecting the tent - if only they let us in earlier! - alas a bit wet
15:15 - tent up and dried(ish) - get wristbands - go for a wander and beers
usual arena type festival with food stalls / the stages are spread over a small but hilly area / literature and poetry tents / all of the toilets are long drops / those poor sheep sprayed pink / there's a lot of pimms stuff about / buy your pint pot for £2 / tiny tv outside comedy tent / gourmet fish & chips has followed us from glastonbury
meet up with the rest of joel's mates in yellow campsite
literary stage - robin ince book club - ross noble - book of the netherland dwarf / john peel
meet up with sarah mary tom & steve at the cider barn / go for wander and end up at the go-go / escort s back to tent also in yellow - perhaps we should have moved rather than walk the many miles to red

Friday - 18th

05:00 - security find clothes and wallet close to our tent - it was the guy next door - he was robbed during the night (only money stolen though)
