Friday - 19th
12:00 - 3:00 on my own - a few hold ups this year.
15:30 get the 6 man tent up on my own beating the 3 blokes next to me putting up theirs
get wristband as the usual rain starts
same set up as previous years with funfair, beer tokens, aimless wandering around the stalls and amusements
disco in the volvic tent - playing all the hits of the bands coming up over the weekend (mostly kaiser chiefs)
tonight's film offerings are collateral & the exorcist - alas have seen both
it's the first night so cannot sleep

Saturday - 20th
7:00 - head off to the arena for breakfast, clean toilets then more kip
11:30 - joey arrives
12:30 - no hope in new jersey - "we are no hope in new jersey, the saviours of rock and roll" - fairly rocky - decline / in the yard
v stage - rooster - staring at the sun / deep and meaningless / no diggity (back street boys cover!)
13:25 - v stage - idlewild - little discourage / too long awake / you held the world in your arms / a modern way of letting go / love steals us from loneliness / welcome home / live in a hiding place / el capitan / i understand it / american english - surreal moment as tiny dolphin balloon goes soaring off into the middle distance
14:00 - channel 4 stage - the frames - good irish banter - finally / what happens when the heart just stops / happy / fitzcarraldo (boats up mountains) / the blood / a couple of bars of 'i wanna be adored' as tribute to ...
14:50 - channel 4 stage - i am kloot - obligatory beer crate foot rest in hand - over my shoulder / proof / no direction home / sold as seen / life in a day - troupe (marilyn meets madness?)
15:40 - channel 4 - 13 senses - the soul magicians produce a melodic and relaxing vide - undivided / the salt wound routine / do no wrong / into the fire / gone / thru the glass
16:35 - volvic stage - leaves - icelandic & soaring - a lot of feedback to start - good enough / silence / angela test / the spell / shakma

10:30 - arena - breakfast
12:30 - channel 4 stage - young knives - on refering to the bassist, 'house of lords' "my brother, my hero, my mentor, my muse, ... he's a twat" - like sparks on drugs
13:15 - channel 4 stage - tom vek - piggy back for the drummer, a bit of guitar trouble - c-c (you set the fire in me) / if you want / i ain't saying goodbyes / nothing but green lights
14:00 - channel 4 stage - departure - they may have mentioned northampton a few times - be my enemy / arms around me / lump in my throat
in passing - strongbow rooms - kid carpet - the red guitar is his favourite - carrier bag
14:50 - v stage - las - there she goes and some other songs
15:25 - v stage - jet - cold hard bitch / rollover dj / are you gonna be my girl / bring it on back / look what you've done / lazy gun / stand up / take it or leave it

19:00 - channel 4 stage - kaiser chiefs - ricky's foot is wrapped up so only high jumps with one foot - more or less the same as glastonbury - a bit of waste having already seen them, should have gone to see sonic youth - all the favourites - i predict a riot / oh my god / everyday / modern way & sink that ship
a new craze of throwing bottles at mascots/flags - the nemo balloon gets it & yoda gets pelted
