Friday - 18th
10:00 - phone jd - already at weston!
12:30 - sb picks up ticket for tomorrow.
13:30 - 16:30 - aj arrives - set off up m6 / m54 as a change (usually go a5) - eventually hit the queue which detours around the roundabout and back on itself (why they could not operate a traffic system there is beyond me) - park in the west car park 1, the most furthest car park from the camp site! - do all the gear in one trip - it's wet so it's welly time - stop for wristbands on the way - eventually find a spot in the middle of the blue campsite and set up - we use a plastic sheet as a ground sheet as the actual ground sheet is going slightly
stock up on the v+rb and pop into the arena - everything has shifted around - strongbow now where volvic was / v in same place / jjb shifed 90° / channel 4 stage was been shifted down the hill and turned completely around / volvic tent is now v mobile union stage situated between
usual set up with disco in the jjb arena, stalls and funfair - additional food places with chillout/venues with teepee type arrangement (glasto-style) / places with giant snail speakers
tonight's film offerings are in the jjb - dodgeball & i, robot - we decide to leave when aj starts to fall asleep in the latter
completely knackered sleep like a log
Saturday - 19th
09:30 - head off to the arena for clean toilets, bacon butty & a nice cup of tea
11:00 - meet up with jd
12:30 - arena - have a wander - sb rings, has had to turn back having got all the way to the m54
12:50 - jjb arena - the boy most likely to - monsters
13:10 - ch4 stage - dogs - turn off the radio - alas the rain starts
13:55 - ch4 stage - rifles - trotters banner - repeat offender / hometown blues / she's got standards / narrow minded social club / local boy
my phone starts acting up (it may have got soaked in the rain) - back to the tent for my kagool - some beer & v+rb
in the background - dandy warhols - get off / bohemian / boys better

simon arrives - hoorah (also restocks our depleted vodka)

go for a beer - get a free cider from a brummie who is a big morrissey fan

simon departs under a heavy cloud / rain stops

food break - have some paella

22:05 - vm union - the cooper temple clause - a few technical problems leads them to a different setlist (and a few arguements of what to play) - who needs enemies? / filmmaker / damage / panza attack
eventually meet up with aj - have an excellent burger at one of the new food venues - then sit under one of the teepees drinking horrible red wine and talking jibberish til the early hours
Sunday - 20th
09:30 - arena - bog, breakfast & a nice cup of tea / back to tent for more kip
12:45 - jjb arena - rushmore - a little bit country
food break - some more of that lovely paella
13:10 - ch4 stage - saw doctors - she's got it
13:25 - v stage - dead 60s - loaded gun / riot radio / control this / ghostfaced killer
13:55 - ch4 stage - biffy clyro - turning into a kind of scottish zz top - glitter and trauma / justboy / 57 / only one word comes to mind
14:40 - ch4 stage - kula shaker - hey dude / dictator of the free world / tattva / hush

food break - alas no burgers at the good food place but some nice bbq king prawns and chicken as recompense - cheers
21:35 - v stage - radiohead - micro cameras, "are you ok johnny? - just checking", "this song has been around a bit - what do you mean so have i - if you kindly like to step up on stage and say that" - all the hits and many more - airbag / fake plastic trees / spirit fade / optimistic / my iron lung / hunting bears / 2+2=5 / everything in it's right place / idioteque (manic dancing) / paranoid android / pyramid song / national anthem / you and whose army / lucky / karma police / creep
back to tent - having rang the miscreant aj a million times decide to pop down to the medical tent at 03:30 in the pouring rain to check if he has become a casualty - but what's that coming over the hill ...
Monday - 21st
08:00 - pack up - luckily due to the plastic sheet, the base of the tent is completely dry - all we have to do is trudge the million miles back to the car
