Alpha at Crown Terrace
Crown Terrace Methodist is hoping to begin another Alpha Course in early 2001.
Alpha is a course covering the fundamentals of the Christian faith which aims to be interesting, challenging
and enjoyable. The atmosphere is friendly and non-threatening and you will never be forced into making a commitment
unless you choose to. During the course we will be looking at topics such as "Who is Jesus?"
and "Why and how do I pray?"
Each evening begins with a time to make friends over a good meal. This is followed by a talk on the
week's theme after which we break up into small groups to discuss the issues raised in the talk.
People can ask anything - no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile!
Alpha is for everyone! It particularly caters for non-church-goers and those who have started going to church only recently - no previous knowledge of Christianity is assumed and attendance at this, or any other, church is not required! We feel even people who have been Christians for many years can benefit from coming along and brushing up on the basics of the faith.
