- There is still a vacancy at the Methodist Church Flat, suited to a student or young person. See the Methodist Page for details.
- The OAK cafe is still taking place at St. Mark's Church, Rosemount Viaduct, where it is open from 10am until 1pm every day for coffees and lunches. This is still only a temporary venue until we
find a better location. Talks between OAK and a congregation with a building in the city centre were started in early November, with a
view to using their building as a Christian Centre. Theses talks went well. A feasibility study of the premises is now underway and an architect has been drawing
up possible plans for the building in conjuction with members of the congregation and representatives from OAK.
- The Methodist Church's new Mid-week Praise Services will not be starting until January. Watch this space for more details!
- The new look What's-on Diary of Christian events in Aberdeen has been updated this week as every week. If you have information for the Diary, please send it in!
- A special united OAK morning service with Communion is to take place on January 21 to mark Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. There will also be a united creche and Sunday School. The venue will be St Mark's. There will be a joint Sunday School and Creche taking place during the service.
- A new book by David Collinson, minister of Crown Terrace, is due to be appear in bookshops in Spring 2001. Encounters with Darkness: Christian victims of violence share their stories is to
be published by Autumn House Publishing. More details soon!
